Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to lead efforts in improving Supplier Quality Reject performance. The successful candidate will participate in Quality Reviews and Powertrain Variability Reduction Team meetings to address supplier warranty concerns. They will support QR procedures, assist with non-responsive suppliers, and ensure data accuracy. Coordination of quality confirmation for suppliers with repeated containment failures and support of containment for supplier Stop Ship issues are key aspects of this role. The Quality Engineer will also work with stakeholders to report accurate root causes for Prevent the personion Closure (PAC) process and act as a liaison between Supplier Quality and manufacturing plant management, supporting Daily Plant Quality Meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to improve Supplier Quality Reject performance.
• Participate in Quality Reviews and Powertrain Variability Reduction Team meetings to resolve supplier warranty concerns.
• Support QR procedures and assist with non-responsive suppliers.
• Ensure QR/PPM data accuracy.
• Coordinate quality confirmation for suppliers with repeated containment failures.
• Support containment of supplier Stop Ship issues and assist with suspect material tracking.
• Work with stakeholders to report accurate root causes for Prevent the personion Closure (PAC) process.
• Serve as liaison between Supplier Quality and manufacturing plant management.
• Support Daily Plant Quality Meetings.

Work Environment

The Quality Engineer will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, engaging with various stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met. The role involves participating in daily plant quality meetings and working closely with suppliers and manufacturing plant management. Standard office hours apply, with occasional travel to supplier sites as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
