Job Title: Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Test for ozone, chlorine, pH, and turbidity.
• Pull and bring various samples back to the lab for testing.
• Plate for micro counts and conduct coliform testing.
• Perform packaging testing, including fill weight and strength.
• Conduct CIP cleanings and have chemical knowledge.
• Work hands-on on the production floor, assisting with various tasks.
• Supervise all vision check systems as a quality supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience in quality assurance, biology, lab work, and quality control.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Some laboratory experience, even entry-level.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Food or beverage industry experience.
• SQF certification
• Computer skills.

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment where everyone owns the process. The plant is top-performing, having recently set a record with 90% throughput on both lines. Although the job can be demanding with a 12-hour schedule and variable daily tasks, it provides opportunities for training, advancement, and earning industry certifications. Employees receive holiday pay and PTO, and there is a strong focus on safety and quality. The team is supportive, and there is no culture of blame for mistakes, but high expectations and a sense of urgency are essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
