R&D Lab Technician

Exposure to R&D Scale Up Processes | First Shift: Monday - Friday

Job Description

We are seeking an R&D Lab Technician responsible for analyzing samples and creating prototypes. The technician will assist in product development, quality control, and food sales projects. This role involves lifting, handling, and maintaining ingredients and equipment, and performing all tasks within established guidelines. Work will include smaller bench top applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples.
• Create final products for testing.
• Maintain the inventory of filled standard sample jars.
• Assist in documentation approvals as needed.
• Perform laboratory activities involved in the development and improvement of products.
• Support sales efforts as necessary.
• Support pilot scale and production trials while maintaining food safety culture in regards to food defense, quality, and cGMPs for production and warehousing of products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in sciences, food science is preferred with some lab experience (can be from school).
• Will consider a HS diploma with 1 year of food lab experience.
• Experience in a food environment, a plus.

Work Environment

The position will primarily work Monday to Friday, 1st shift (8:00am-4:30pm). The work environment includes handling and maintaining ingredients and equipment, and performing tasks within established guidelines. The role offers great exposure to scale-up processes in R&D food manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
