Job Description

A Development Chemist in the Special Hazards/Agents New Product Introduction Team works on developing and testing next-generation fire suppression agents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into new technologies.
• Develop new technologies into commercial products.
• Interface with 3rd party approval agencies.
• Assist with new product commercialization and production scale-up via a stage-gate new product development process.
• Handle flammable liquids and conduct live fire tests requiring the use of PPE.
• Lift loads up to thirty-five pounds during development activities.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Chemistry
• 2 years of Product Development/Formulation experience
• Experience in Chemistry, Formulation, Surfactant Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry

Work Environment

The R&D Team offers a flexible work environment with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 9-hour days, and Fridays ending by 10:30 or 11 a.m. The role is based in an R&D Chemistry Lab. Once hired permanently or directly, the position includes 3 weeks of vacation, 40 hours of sick pay, holidays, and 3 floating holidays.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
