Job Title: Resident Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our team. This role involves marketing our construction management and inspection services, preparing proposals, managing project costs and schedules, recruiting and hiring personnel, and providing technical assistance to design engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Market the firm’s construction management and construction inspection services.
- Prepare technical and cost proposals in response to solicitations.
- Manage cost, budget, and schedule of each assignment.
- Recruit and hire construction inspection field and office personnel.
- Assign construction inspection personnel to projects, manage inspection personnel, and answer any questions they may have.
- Visit inspectors and project sites periodically.
- Provide assistance to design engineers regarding constructability issues, construction schedules, and traffic control.
- Provide post-design services such as drawing reviews and coordination with Resident Engineers.
Essential Skills
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 10 years of progressive CI/CM experience on bridge, roadway, and drainage construction or maintenance projects.
- Client-approved Project Manager on multiple construction inspection and construction management assignments.
- Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
