Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

The ideal candidate will utilize CAD/BIM modeling software to assist project managers by creating routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. These drawings will include all necessary views and dimensions. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for making copies of drawings and updating the database with any changes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD/BIM modeling software to create routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
• Ensure all drawings include necessary views and dimensions.
• Make copies of drawings and update the database with any changes.
• Work independently with minimum direct supervision.
• Use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
• Create and revise drawings.
• Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials to be used, and relation of various parts to the whole structure or project.
• Utilize knowledge of various engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings.
• Draw finished designs from sketches.
• Set up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
• Communicate with others regarding new and revised prints.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to verify existing conditions.
• Coordinate online meetings.

Essential Skills

• Drafting experience
• Proficiency with Revit
• Experience with TopCon total station
• Basic construction experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Solid understanding of drafting techniques
• Familiarity with engineering terminology
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
• Familiarity with CAD equipment and the relationship of CAD, design, construction, and plumbing

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision
• Proficiency in using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software

Work Environment

In-person, business casual attire, 8 AM to 5 PM. The company offers a family-owned business atmosphere where you can be your own boss. There is a possibility for a hybrid work arrangement, 401K match, and potential for a bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
