We are seeking an RF Engineering Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience as an engineering technician with RF and microwave expertise.
We are a leading global manufacturer of technology solutions, specializing in engineered systems, radio frequency (RF) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and quick-turn, technologically advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Job Summary: You will be responsible for laying out, building, testing, and modifying developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. You will work closely with engineers to discuss layout and assembly procedures and troubleshoot any issues. Additionally, you will assemble experimental circuitry and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to illustrate system operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up standard test apparatus, test equipment, and/or circuitry to conduct functional, operational, and environmental tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
- Use oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and other testing devices.
- Complete test acceptance/failure reports.
- Perform visual/mechanical inspections of electronic assemblies to uncover problems.
- Complete reports on findings.
- Adjust, calibrate, and align production or prototype assemblies to obtain optimal performance in accordance with documented performance levels.
- Calibrate testing equipment and perform minor repairs, such as soldering connections or changing transistors.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with some technical training or Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 2-3 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in an RF or Microwave environment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and testing devices such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
