Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engineering and project administration activities related to specific circuit breaker product families.
• Perform engineering analyses, including thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic, and structural.
• Ensure compliance with specific ratings, product specifications, and standards requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and procurement functions.
• Perform methodical problem solving to assist in product line production.
• Support design activities such as brainstorming, database management and development, design/peer reviews, and general analysis, including tolerance analysis.
• Ensure products meet requirements for Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Assist in root cause analysis by way of the 5 Why and Ishikawa processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field (electrical, mechanical, industrial)
• Minimum 5 years in a high production manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Bill of Material (BOM) creation, modification, and documentation
• Basic engineering principles
• Basic machine design
• Experience with CAD/CAM software

Work Environment

This role will be onsite in Cedar Rapids and will support product development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
