Job Title: Sr. Structural Engineer
Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections for reconstruction and rehabilitation bridge projects.
- Conduct analysis and design for bridge superstructures and substructures.
- Develop details and prepare construction plans.
- Guide staff engineers in preparing plans, details, quantity calculations, and cost estimates.
- Develop construction special specifications.
- Respond to RFI’s and perform shop drawing reviews during the construction phase.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with good engineering codes and practices.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with other experienced engineers.
Essential Skills
- Experience in bridge design projects, including reconstruction and rehabilitation.
- P.E. in N.J. required, P.E. in N.Y. and/or P.A. a plus.
- Proven track record in structural design and analysis.
- Experience with NJDOT, NJTA, and NJ Turnpike projects.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as Staad, AutoCAD, CSI Bridge, LARS Bridge, MIDAS CIVIL, and Microstation.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and demonstrate previous project collaboration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. Degree required, M.S. or higher degree is a plus.
- Familiarity with NJTA, NJDOT, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, PADOT Design Manuals & Standards.
- Experience with software such as CSI-Bridge, SAP 2000, Staad-Pro, Load Rating Program, PADOT Design Software, MathCAD, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
- Meticulous attention to the quality of work and design.

This role offers hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The main office is in Princeton, with additional offices in Hackensack and New York.
