Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves software engineering, code verification, and integration with hardware using TestStand and Python. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science with an emphasis on hardware.

Responsibilities

• Perform software coding and code verification.
• Work with TestStand environment and Python.
• Integrate software with hardware, including Gap or Motohawk.
• Design and support mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Conduct TestStand capability analysis and provide documentation.
• Make improvements to existing systems and recreate aftermarket components.
• Manage projects by planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities.
• Interact daily with test engineers and work in a lab environment.
• Communicate effectively and provide technical writing as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in LabView programming.
• 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Capability to add value immediately with minimal direction.
• Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly design.
• Understanding of TestStand capability analysis.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science with an emphasis on hardware.
• Experience with national instruments TestStand and documentation.
• Willingness to work on special projects and complete ongoing tasks.
• Ability to work in a team environment with NPI and Value Engineering teams.

Work Environment

This position requires you to work on-site five days a week at our Fort Collins Campus. You will be working primarily with Level 4 test engineers in a lab environment, interacting with design and technical writers. The role involves validation and hardware integration using Python.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
