Job Summary
• Actalent seeks an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team, responsible for specimen collection, data entry, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect and process specimens according to established protocols.
• Conduct thorough research on test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders.
• Accurately complete data entry requirements, including patient registration and test order entry.
• Manage billing information and collect payments as required.
• Perform various clerical duties, such as data entry, inventory management, and phone handling.
• Verify patient demographics and label specimens correctly.
• Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs.
Requirements
• Proficient in phlebotomy and venipuncture
• Ability to perform finger sticks, blood draws, and use straight needles and butterfly needles
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Data entry proficiency
• Additional skills: travel experience, pediatric and geriatric experience, attention to detail, adaptability
