Substation Engineer - Indianapolis, IN
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Engineer to join our team in Substation Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with minimal experience to work with a mid-sized firm where you're most than just a number and to learn an incredibly marketable skill within the utility sector. Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual and detailed MV & LV substation physical/electrical design, including basic layout, electrical arrangement, one-line and three-line drawings, plan-section, grounding, and AC/DC system drawings
- Perform quality control reviews on substation physical design projects
- Create and review bills of materials for substation physical projects
- Develop and review proposals and scopes of work for projects
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to meet project objectives
- Develop into project management tasks and responsibilities
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of basic Electrical Engineering principles and concepts
- Ability to work within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Ability to take ownership over work
- Preferred but Not Required - Understanding of Grid Modernization.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
