Entry Level Substation Engineer - Indianapolis, INJob Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Substation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will perform both conceptual and detailed medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) substation physical/electrical design for utilities and industrial customers. This includes tasks such as basic layout, electrical arrangement, one-line and three-line drawings, plan-section, grounding, and AC/DC system drawings. You will also be responsible for performing quality control reviews, creating and reviewing bills of materials, and developing project proposals and scopes of work. Once trained, you will operate with ownership over projects and have the ability to rapidly develop your skills and abilities. This company and industry offer incredibly job security.
Responsibilities
You will attend monthly internal meetings in the office when able and virtual meetings as needed throughout the week. Customer meetings will require 5% travel throughout the year, with expenses for hotel, mileage, and meals covered. The work culture is not one of micro-management; you will be expected to manage yourself and your work to keep projects moving forward. This role offers a stable work environment with opportunities for growth and the ability to contribute to long-lasting stability in the industry. This is an excellent chance to develop Project Management skills more quickly than most companies can allow.
