Job Description
The Construction Superintendent will manage all onsite construction supervision of sub-contractors and internal staff. This person will oversee projects ranging from $3 million to $15 million, including gas stations, hotels, sports areas, and university renovations in Nebraska. The role involves ensuring timely and profitable project completion, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and supervising all personnel involved in the project.
Responsibilities
- Manage all onsite construction supervision of sub-contractors and internal staff.
- Oversee projects ranging from $3 million to $15 million, including gas stations, hotels, sports areas, and university renovations.
- Ensure timely and profitable completion of all assigned construction projects.
- Create and maintain the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
- Supervise all personnel performing work-related functions on the project.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of commercial construction experience, preferably in ground-up projects valued at $8 million and up.
- Experience with construction software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Experience in running projects, general contracting, carpentry, schematic work, tenant improvement, and construction supervision.
- Understanding of safety guidelines as required by OSHA and possession of an OSHA 10 card.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A 4-year degree in Construction Management or an Associate's Degree is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
- Ability to manage, push, schedule, and coordinate sub-contractors.
- Experience with new construction and additions, not just remodels.
- Previous work on projects with budgets between $2 million and $5 million.
- Ability to process and coordinate quickly.
Work Environment
The Superintendent will manage direct reports and subcontractors in the field, often from job trailers, and will only assist crews as needed. The role requires participation in team meetings and reporting to a Senior Project Manager. There are positions available in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, with some positions requiring travel. Traveling Superintendents will work four 10-hour days to have Fridays off and will receive a per diem for food and paid hotel accommodations. They will also be provided with a company phone, computer, gas card, and company vehicle. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
