Job Title: Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and/or experienced Surveyors to oversee the operation of a field survey crew. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of survey operations, while maintaining positive public relations and meeting regulatory requirements. A good candidate will have transferable skills and willing to learn surveying as a long term career. This role requires organizing fieldwork, directing crew members, maintaining equipment, and accurately collecting and delivering field data.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage a field survey crew.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and clarity of survey work.
• Meet regulatory requirements and maintain positive public relations.
• Organize and direct fieldwork and crew members.
• Maintain a safe work environment and protect equipment and vehicles.
• Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.
• Deliver collected data to the office.
• Maintain accurate records of work and expenses.
• Travel overnight occasionally as required.
• Perform extensive walking outdoors in various terrains and weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of progressive experience in survey field operations, with at least 1 years as a survey crew chief.
• Proficiency with survey equipment, including total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Good technical skills, including process orientation, attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00
