Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will lead the development and extension of system architecture and design for electronic controller applications. You will drive technological advancements and ensure robust solutions while managing projects for electronic control system development and verification activities efficiently. You will also play a key role in overseeing system work product reviews and collaborating cross-functionally to define and improve system work products, processes, and quality criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and extension of system architecture and design for electronic controller applications.
• Drive project management for electronic control system development and verification activities.
• Oversee system work product reviews and ensure closure of action items before the release of design documentation.
• Collaborate with various teams to define and improve system work products, processes, and quality criteria.
• Engage with software, hardware, test, and product development teams throughout the product life cycle.
• Define, document, and update controller system requirements and verification plans.
• Document controller system architecture, including key functional blocks, inputs, outputs, and interfaces.
• Create and maintain a controller traceability matrix and participate in verification activities.
• Participate in product design reviews to ensure products meet hardware and software feature requirements.
• Assist manufacturing engineering and suppliers in developing product manufacturing test procedures and control documentation.
• Collaborate with the customer service team to provide support for product training and ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills

• 7 years of experience in the development and/or testing of embedded microprocessor-based controls.
• 3 years of successful embedded system engineering project management.
• Proficiency in System Requirements Documentation, Requirements Allocation, Requirements Traceability, and Test Case development and execution.
• Familiarity with Functional Safety standards (e.g., IEC, ISO26262) or Agency Certification Requirements (e.g., UL, UL 174, etc.).
• Experience with product and component level testing and electronics failure analysis.
• Ability to read, understand, and implement technical procedures and government regulations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of schematic, electrical, and mechanical diagrams.
• Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, business teams, and external subject matter experts.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as the MS Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical discipline).
• A deep passion for building and owning innovative, customer-facing services/products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $150000.00
