Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to develop and review designs and plans for a variety of transportation projects, including highways, roadways, tunnels, mass transit, and aviation. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, performing site reviews, and updating design requirements for both new and existing projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop transportation engineering designs and plans for projects such as highways, roadways, tunnels, mass transit, and aviation.
- Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with project specifications.
- Update design requirements for new and existing projects.
- Inspect new construction and existing transportation structures.

- Experience with MDOT project delivery
Work Environment
This position is based in the office a minimum of 2 days per week, with an average of 40 hours per week. The role offers the opportunity to develop specialized engineering and design skills, build a portfolio of work and projects, and work towards a Project Manager opportunity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $52.90/hr.
