Field Technician (Brighton, CO)

Job Summary

This position will support operations for ACTEnviro by conducting environmental services and collections while observing safety protocols (proACTive).

Accountabilities

  • Process various materials by hand, with tools and equipment
  • Loading material on customer or 3rd party vehicles with equipment
  • Label and organize containers in compliance with all regulations
  • Responds to emergency situations when called upon
  • Clean dock / facility as directed by client or management
  • Attend and maintain all required training necessary to perform job
  • Adhere to company and client safety standards
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds several times throughout a shift
  • Ability to work outdoors year round in all types of weather
  • One (0-1) year prior experience in the hazardous materials / waste industry
  • One (1 ) year forklift, wheel loader, or similar equipment experience
  • Have a maintain clean driving record
  • Ability to use manual and power tools
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment and individually
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen

    • Education / Experience

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Experience in the hazardous materials / waste industry preferred
  • Successfully completed HAZWOPER 40 hour (must have copies if certified), a plus
