What are the responsibilities and job description for the TSDF - EHS Specialist position at ACTenviro?
The TSDF EHS Specialist combines rigorous scientific knowledge, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and technical expertise to conduct thorough assessments to identify and minimize risks that would result in legal action or fines, potential injuries, and ensure compliance with current laws and to preserve health and safety. This position conducts both facility and desk-based research and prepares detailed professional reports on their findings and / or recommendations to the TSDF Director.
Primary Responsibilities (In Alphabetical Order)
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Act as an internal ACT resource, as needed
- Complete assignments completely, and on time, every time.
- Conduct inspections and audits of the TSDF to identify safety, health or environmental issues and recommend appropriate corrective or preventive actions.
- Develop and provide employee training for a variety of health and safety and environmental subjects and topics.
- Ownership of assigned tasks and deadlines by TSDF Director
- Prepare permits or regulatory documents and assist with regulatory agency inspections.
- Proactive in identifying gaps and finding opportunities for improvement.
- Self-leadership; completing assignments in an efficient manner, organizing and prioritizing schedule.
