50,000-$65,000 annual salary

HR Generalist Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day human resources functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Generalist will support recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and other HR initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace. This position is based 100% in-person in Marion, IA, and reports to the HR Manager, Georgi.

HR Generalist Responsibilities :

  • Recruitment & Onboarding : Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for manufacturing and corporate roles, including job postings, interviews, background checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Employee Relations : Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, promoting a positive work culture, and organizing employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Compliance & Policies : Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., OSHA, FLSA, EEO). Update and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Training & Development : Coordinate training programs for employees and supervisors to enhance skills, improve safety, and support career growth.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration : Assist with payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and leave administration while addressing employee inquiries.
  • Performance Management : Support managers in conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • HR Reporting & Data Management : Maintain accurate employee records, track key HR metrics, and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Safety & Compliance Support : Partner with safety teams to ensure compliance with workplace safety programs and initiatives.
  • HR Generalist Requirements :

  • 2 years of HR experience (manufacturing or construction industry preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
