WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
The position of Warehouse Associate at Action involves supporting warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and shipping goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you will contribute to the efficient movement of products, inventory management, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment.
Tasks
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments, verify quantities and checking for damaged or defective items.
- Sort, label, and properly store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures and shipping requirements.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting stock levels, discrepancies, and adjustments.
- Perform regular cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, arranging shelves, and disposing of packaging materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and efficient warehouse operations.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices to prevent accidents, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or General Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in warehouse operations or forklift operation are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Experience with safety practices and protocols related to warehouse operations.
