We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and supplier relationships. Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Oversee inventory control processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Utilize procurement management systems such as Mie-trak to streamline purchasing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan for material requirements (MRP).
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and practices.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, particularly Oracle EBS or similar systems.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies and supplier management techniques.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Associates/Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related experience is preferred.
