Summary:
The Marketing Communications Manager leads and executes the organization's marketing and communication efforts. This position is essential to advancing our mission by managing a cohesive communication strategy, elevating our brand, and engaging diverse audiences on multiple platforms. The Marketing Communications Manager will oversee digital marketing, content creation, website updates, fundraising and donor stewardship communications, and design impactful programmatic and promotional materials, all while supervising the Marketing Assistant.
Hours: Full Time, 35 hours/week. Occasional night and weekend work may be required as the role dictates.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an annual communication plan that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the Annual Giving Manager and Community Outreach & Events Manager to support fundraising and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain and update the organization's website using WordPress, ensuring an engaging and user-friendly experience. Optimize website content for SEO to drive traffic and enhance visibility. Monitor website performance using analytics tools and implement improvements.
- Design, write, and produce promotional materials, programmatic collateral, and fundraising and donor stewardship communications using InDesign, Canva, and Microsoft 365.
- Work with Annual Giving Manager to produce impactful donor appeals, external newsletters, and stewardship materials to support development goals.
- Create the organization's Annual Report/Impact Statement, showcasing accomplishments and outcomes.
- Develop and execute a social media strategy to enhance engagement and grow the organization's presence across platforms.
- Manage and produce engaging, well-designed internal and external email newsletters, ensuring consistency in tone, branding, and messaging.
- Generate storytelling content that reflects the organization's mission and strengthens community connections.
- Supervise and mentor the Marketing Assistant, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
- Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide, and other meetings.
- Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Required Abilities/Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress, SEO, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or similar).
- Advanced design skills using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with attention to tone and brand consistency.
- Expertise in social media platforms, trends, and content strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media management platforms
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital and print communications preferred.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital content creation, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in human services setting preferred.
