What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Actionpaq Corporation?
We are looking for a highly motivated Service Engineer to join our Technical and Sales Support Team.
This position is a highly customer-focused and facing role. This role requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills as well as project management and time management fundamentals.
Travel will be required, primarily during the work weeks, but will sometimes require weekend travel. The successful candidate will spend time helping customers at various locations to launch and/or trouble shoot our motors.
More than simply helping with installs, this role requires relationship building. The ideal candidate is comfortable with talking to customers. You will be responsible for managing customer relations within your key customer focus group.
This includes training our customers on how to utilize and integrate our products into their existing product offerings, conducting lunch and learns, and more.
One day you may be a lab technician helping to find ways of improving our motion technology and the next you can be sitting face to face with a room full of engineers gathering application information for our Sales, Engineering and Project teams.
The ideal candidate has a curious mind and an excited learner. As our product is still new, we are still discovering all its capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technical solutions to improve service and delivery.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and software.
- Provide support to customers through phone, email, virtual and/or on-site visits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve service-related issues.
- Install and configure software, hardware and network components.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Train end-users on the proper use of equipment and software.
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests and resolutions.
- Educating the users about the correct use and upkeep of their products.
- Repairing broken-down or damaged equipment either in the field or at our repair center.
- Assessing hardware and installation functionality and preparing reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed.
- Persuading customers to invest in necessary replacements or vital repairs to key components and hardware devices.
- Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
