Job Description:
An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is needed to join our team at an automotive parts manufacturing company in the Midway area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS functions and be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement improved safety standards and procedures
- Communicate internally and externally to ensure unsafe working conditions are identified and resolved
- Document safety and environmental hazard incidents and follow-up
- Monitor potential environmental hazards and assist with incident prevention planning
- Plan and execute safety and environmental audits
- Stay up-to-date with local and federal regulations for safety and environmental standards
- Coordinate regular EHS training for company employees
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent training and work experience
- Relevant OSHA certification highly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience in EHS functions, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with ISO 14001
- Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
