Logistics Coordinator (Japanese Bilingual) - AR-31524

An international freight forwarding company is seeking a Japanese bilingual Logistics Coordinator to join their team in the Jamaica, NY area. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of logistics coordination experience, Japanese language proficiency, and a proactive & team-oriented attitude. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of a Logistics Coordinator:

• Coordinate and manage logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of shipments for both domestic and international clients.
• Maintain communication with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth import and export processes, including regular interaction with Japanese-speaking partners and clients.
• Prepare and maintain detailed shipping documents, including invoices, delivery orders, and customs paperwork.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing status updates to customers and resolving any issues or delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and offering solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Input and maintain accurate data into company systems, ensuring proper documentation for inventory, shipping, and order processing.

Requirements of a Logistics Coordinator:

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably with import/export experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent in business, logistics, or a related field.
• Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is required for daily communication with the company’s Japanese headquarters and partners.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and partners in both English and Japanese.
• Proficiency in data entry and the ability to work accurately with logistics software and systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling logistics documentation and data.
• Physical Requirements: This position requires sitting and standing intermittently, use of hands to handle documentation and writing utensils as well as type and interact with a computer. Use of near-, distance-, and peripheral vision is required. Speaking and hearing are also required.
