Details:
- Team members should maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers. This includes handling food with care, accurately communicating menu options and ingredients, and addressing any customer concerns or complaints promptly and respectfully. Team members should foster a warm and welcoming environment for guests, teammates, and vendors

- Proper food handling is critical to prevent contamination, allergic reactions, and foodborne illnesses. Workers should be knowledgeable about safe food storage temperatures, proper thawing and cooking techniques, and avoiding cross contamination
- Regular cleaning and sanitizing of all food contact surfaces, utensils, and equipment is essential. Team members should understand the importance of using approved sanitizers and following proper cleaning procedures to maintain a hygienic environment
- Team members should be aware of common food allergens and understand how to prevent cross-contact between allergenic and non-allergenic foods. This includes proper labeling of ingredients and allergen-friendly food preparation techniques
Front of House Team Member
Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide helpful recommendations on the menu and additions
- Smoothie Bar: prepare smoothies, shakes, and acai bowls according to recipes and customer preferences (allergies as well), ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Cash Handling: process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments, and provide correct change
- Cleanliness: Keep workstations, equipment, and dining areas clean and sanitized, following health and safety guidelines
- Menu Knowledge: stay informed about menu items and ingredient details to assist customers with dietary preferences or restrictions
- Upselling: suggest add-ons, such as protein powders to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Food Safety: Adhere to food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control, to prevent contamination and ensure food quality
- Inventory Management: stocking ingredients, receiving orders and checking for quality and accuracy, proper storage, utilizing a first-in, first-out rotation system (FIFO)
Promotion Path:
- Demonstrate proficiency in preparing smoothies and beverages quickly and accurately
- Show a strong understanding of customer service principles and consistently receive positive feedback from customers, teammates, and leaders
- Take on additional responsibilities such as training new employees or assisting with inventory management
- Seek opportunities for cross-training in other areas of the cafe
- Express willingness to take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
