Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Billing Associate / Medical Supply Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that customers receive the necessary medical equipment while managing the billing process efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Billing:
- Accept and process doctors' orders.
- Check customers' eligibility for requested items.
- Verify the doctor's Medicare registration status and the patient's insurance coverage.
- Follow up with doctors to obtain necessary information, such as mobility examination details.
- Ensure all required documentation is collected and submitted for processing.
- Submit paperwork for prior authorizations.
- Upon approval, create invoices and communicate with customers to provide updates.
- Schedule delivery or pickup of equipment based on customer needs.
- Once the item is delivered or picked up, process billing to the patient's insurance.
Customer Service & In-Store Support:
- Assist customers in the store, answer phones, and help with checkout.
- Provide expert advice on our wide selection of mobility and medical equipment.
- Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for customers visiting our showroom.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
- Comfortable using billing software and learning new systems (training provided).
- Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or a related field is a plus but not required.

We are looking for someone to work 9am-5pm on Monday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's. This is flexible.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
