We are seeking an experienced Parts Purchasing Agent to help manage our inventory and maintain an orderly and organized parts room. In addition, the Parts Purchasing Agent places orders and keeps track of inventory and materials from suppliers at the lowest cost with consideration to the quality of the product, reliability of the source and the urgency in the speed of delivery which meets company needs for new and repairable trailers. Also will be responsible for work orders and making sure they are accurate
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read work orders, numbers, safety documents, manuals, etc.
- Good computer skills.
- Experience with mechanical systems and components including hydraulics, wiring, ABS (brakes), suspensions, axles, mounting tires, etc.
- Regular attendance and physical ability to successfully complete the work (kneeling, bending, climbing, working overhead, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs., etc.)
- Appropriate tools and locking box to store them
- Ability and knowledge to safely use power and hand tools
- Ability to communicate, mentor and work with others in a team setting
- Willingness to follow company, local, state and federal safety and DOT standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
