Overview
Our team is looking to incorporate one to two certified veterinary technicians for all duties found in a small animal general practice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing excellent care for pets and their owners.

Duties

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitor animal vital signs and behavior during procedures.
  • Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia induction and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Provide education to pet owners on animal care and health maintenance.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proficient in small animal handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.
  • Understanding of animal physiology and veterinary terminology.
  • Experience with animal catheterization and critical care practices.
  • Familiarity with X-ray techniques and equipment operation.
  • Strong skills in animal restraint, ideally fear free, and general animal care.
  • Previous experience as a CVT is highly desirable.
