Position Title: Lead -School Cafeteria Worker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic individual to join our food services team as a Cafeteria Worker. This position involves preparing and serving meals to students and staff, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and supporting the overall operations of the school cafeteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of daily meals
- Set up and clean serving lines, counters, and tables
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food prep and dining areas
- Follow all food safety guidelines and district procedures
- Support inventory and restocking efforts
- Interact positively with students and staff in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- ServSafe Certified or willing to be Certified within 6 months.
- Experience in inventory management and controls
- Excellent hygiene and adherence to food safety standards
- Flexibility in assigned duties
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–12:30 PM, (30 hours per week) during the school year
Salary and Benefits:
According to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and district policies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.77 - $18.27 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
