Quality Inspector/CMM Operator
Duties and Responsibilities (primary job duties and responsibilities)
- Examine incoming, in-process materials and finished products to ensure they meet all established customer standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret inspection manuals, work orders, engineering drawings and specifications in order to determine product compliance.
- Ability to provide technical feedback to engineering pertaining to discrepancies and improvements.
- Accepts or rejects parts and documents the results in accordance with applicable processes and procedures.
- Must be skilled with basic measurement tools, such as Micrometer, Calipers, Height Gages and similar.
- The ability to operate automated measurement equipment such as a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and/or Faro Arm is HIGHLY preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when required to support production demand.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience Completing First Article Inspections in AS9102 format is preferred.
- An understanding of Root Cause Analysis for internal and external non-conformances is preferred.
- Willingness to train other personnel as needed.
Qualifications (minimum job requirements)
- High School diploma or GED
- U.S. Citizenship is Required
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Ability to provide professional/objective written and verbal communications to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work as a team or individually based on workload.
- 1 years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in sheet metal, welding and machining fabrication is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints. Familiarity with GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M-2009) principles, fundamentals and rules is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic shop mathematics with the ability to learn geometric propositions, sheet metal flat pattern development is a plus.
- Ability to understand and utilize statistical sampling plans such as ANSI Z1.4 or similar.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems environments such as ISO 9001, AS 9100 is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
