Quality Inspector/CMM Operator

Duties and Responsibilities (primary job duties and responsibilities)

• Examine incoming, in-process materials and finished products to ensure they meet all established customer standards and specifications.
• Read and interpret inspection manuals, work orders, engineering drawings and specifications in order to determine product compliance.
• Ability to provide technical feedback to engineering pertaining to discrepancies and improvements.
• Accepts or rejects parts and documents the results in accordance with applicable processes and procedures.
• Must be skilled with basic measurement tools, such as Micrometer, Calipers, Height Gages and similar.
• The ability to operate automated measurement equipment such as a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and/or Faro Arm is HIGHLY preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when required to support production demand.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience Completing First Article Inspections in AS9102 format is preferred.
• An understanding of Root Cause Analysis for internal and external non-conformances is preferred.
• Willingness to train other personnel as needed.

Qualifications (minimum job requirements)

• High School diploma or GED
• U.S. Citizenship is Required
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
• Ability to provide professional/objective written and verbal communications to all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work as a team or individually based on workload.
• 1 years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in sheet metal, welding and machining fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints. Familiarity with GD&T (ANSI Y14.5M-2009) principles, fundamentals and rules is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic shop mathematics with the ability to learn geometric propositions, sheet metal flat pattern development is a plus.
• Ability to understand and utilize statistical sampling plans such as ANSI Z1.4 or similar.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems environments such as ISO 9001, AS 9100 is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
