At Actualize Marketing, the Account Manager is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, with the ultimate goal of retaining and growing the client’s business with the agency. Performing this role well is what makes a client say, “I don’t know what we’d do without Actualize.”
The Account Manager role isn’t just about understanding the client’s business in order to help our creative team craft compelling assets to market it. A lot of the job is solving content problems, and it often involves knowing how to apply marketing best practices for the client and recommending new ideas for reaching their audience — especially in digital channels.
The performance expectations of this role include:
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and the agency team
- Maintain daily communication with clients and respond in a timely manner
- Listen to client wants/needs and suggest appropriate solutions
- Create proposals/SOWs as needed, set budgets, and track them
- Build timelines and ensure the client, creative team, and any partners meet deadlines
- Effectively translate client requests into action items/briefs for the creative team
- Master agency tools and processes for scheduling of resources
- Manage intricate workflows and tight turnarounds for creative production and client teams
- Manage delivery of campaign deliverables
- Review all creative work to ensure it meets the client’s objectives
- Understand the client’s brand and ensure our work adheres to guidelines and standards
- Develop project tracking/reporting documents as needed, or work within a client’s project management software
- Look for opportunities to recommend new work/projects and grow the client account
Minimum requirements:
- 4 years experience in a similar role
- Previous agency experience and/or technology marketing strongly preferred
- Familiarity with project management systems, like Workfront, Asana, etc.
- BS/BA, preferably in marketing or communications
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing/campaign/content strategy
- Working knowledge of digital marketing tactics and tools
