Job Overview
A Deployment Manager for a Managed Network Service Provider (MNSP) is responsible for orchestrating the planning, implementation, and optimization of network deployments for clients. This role involves working closely with various teams, including network engineering, customer support, and project management, to ensure the seamless integration of network
solutions. The Deployment Manager plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality network services while minimizing downtime and meeting client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the deployment team, ensuring the successful implementation of network and software solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and client stakeholders to understand deployment requirements and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive deployment plans, considering factors such as network topology, equipment provisioning, and client-specific needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all deployment-related communications with internal teams and external clients.
- Communicate deployment schedules, progress, and potential impact on client operations.
- Coordinate with network engineering and support teams to allocate resources necessary for deployment activities.
- Ensure that all teams are adequately trained and equipped for their roles in the deployment process.
- Work closely with clients to understand their network requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular updates on deployment progress, address client concerns, and manage expectations effectively.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure thorough testing and validation of network configurations before deployment.
- Conduct pre and post-deployment testing to ensure network stability and performance.
- Oversee the actual deployment process, ensuring that it aligns with established plans and timelines.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during deployment promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to network deployment processes and configurations.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to the enhancement of deployment procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in network deployment or a related field, with a strong background in project coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in dynamic deployment scenarios.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and process improvement.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Network Engineering, Information Technology, or Telecommunications).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 3 days per week in-person at our Austin office
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
