Acuren is currently seeking Coaters/Blasters/Painters for upcoming work in the East Region. THIS WILL BE A TRAVEL POSITION.
This position will be responsible for applying coatings using conventional, airless spray systems, brush and roll techniques. In addition, you will operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spraying equipment and performing duties at heights required.

This position will be responsible for applying coatings using conventional, airless spray systems, brush and roll techniques. In addition, you will operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spraying equipment and performing duties at heights required.
Responsibilities
- Apply paint using brush and roll, conventional, airless, and plural systems
- Have knowledge of various painting methods and applications, including mixing paints to desired colors and consistencies
- Spray coatings with consistent millage
- Operate blasting pot in case of hose burst, gasket failure, switch malfunction, or other problems
- Perform painting, caulking, and sealing tasks
- Inspect surfaces and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Demonstrate safe usage of hand tools and power tools appropriate for the job
- Identify and handle various materials used in the craft
- Interpret paint specifications and ensure compliance
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in various methods of surface preparation according to Nace Standards
- Identify equipment problems and perform cleaning, repairs, and reassembly as required
- Read specifications and instructions to determine work requirements NACE|CIP (Coating Insp) or NACE|General Coatings certification would be an asset
- Perform required blasting and coating duties at heights.
- 5-10 years of experience Blaster/Painter is required
- IRATA or SPRAT Level I Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling is a plus
- Valid drivers’ license preferred
- Required certification levels for specific projects
- Must have industrial refinery experience
- Must have mechanical industrial experience
- Preferred individual with the NCCER certification (Trained Individual)
