POSITION SUMMARY
Our Intake Specialist's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review Cases for Wound Updates
- Enter All Update and Notes in the KanTime Database
- Enter Authorizations and Schedules in System
- Obtain Re-authorizations for Additional Homecare Services
- Follow-up on Requests From the PCP for Services
- Contact and Receive Authorizations from Insurance Company
- Contact Clinicians (PT's, OT's, ST's) to Schedule Services
- Request Home Health Orders From PCP's, Hospitals, and Specialist
- Review Charts for Procedural Accuracy and Efficiency
- Receive and Forward Faxes to Correct Departments
- Confirm Patient's PCP's
- Assist Patient's with Any Questions, Comments, or Concerns
- Develop Good Working Relationships with PCP Staff and Insurance Companies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a great plus
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills
- Doctor Office Administrative Experience (Minimum 2-3 year)
