Sales Director – Embedded Systems Business Unit ( US East)
Our Client seeks a dynamic and successful sales leader with experience in nurturing and growing Embedded Systems ER&D services business across US region. The ideal candidate will drive business growth by securing new marquee logo customers and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the growth of our client's Embedded Systems business in the USA region.
- Cultivate relationships with potential new logo customers (OEMs & Tier-1) aligned with Client's applicable market segments and technological focus, converting leads into opportunities.
- Oversee the entire sales process from lead qualification to securing design/project contracts.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver tailored proposals and quotations, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and deal statuses in the company’s CRM system.
- Strategize and expand the opportunity pipeline to meet business targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for key accounts within the business unit.
- Support regional marketing events to drive brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
- Foster partnerships with software and hardware vendors to enhance business channels.
- Provide market insights to the engineering team for informed technology development and long-term business growth.
- Ensure sales activities uphold business margins and profitability.
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to connect with CXO and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or surpassing direct sales targets. Ability to create demand generation and shape large multi-year annuity deals.
- Established network and relationships with high-tech or Transportation Industry segment in USA specializing in complex embedded systems related services for any of the Semicon, Automotive, Industrial/IOT, Rail and Aerospace sectors.
- Good knowledge and Thought leadership in emerging trends in the Industry and potential solutions to take to market across ER&D segment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings and internal discussions.
- Good understanding of right-shore delivery process for setting up Global Engineering Centres (GEC) . Proven ability to establish trust and rapport with customer engineering leaders and executives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA or MSEE preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful embedded sales experience in ER&D segment with a focus on C-level engagement, including prospecting, qualifying, shaping, negotiating and closing complex sales cycles.
- Good understanding of Industry trends in ER&D services and knowledge of US geography.
- Overall, at least 15 years of experience in Product Engineering R&D services sales.
