Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Business Development and Sales to lead and drive revenue growth in the pre-engineered steel building industry in the targeted geography of the United States. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the construction and steel building markets, an established network within the industry, and proven leadership in developing strategic sales initiatives. This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
o Identify emerging market trends and opportunities within the pre-engineered steel building sector.
o Provide visionary leadership to the sales and business development teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
2. Sales Management:
o Oversee the sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals.
o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team to ensure consistent growth.
o Build and manage relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
3. Business Development:
o Develop partnerships with architects, contractors, and developers to promote pre-engineered steel building solutions.
o Explore and expand new business channels, including regional and national partnerships.
o Evaluate and manage risks associated with new business opportunities.
4. Team Building and Management:
o Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales and business development team.
o Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
5. Market Analysis and Reporting:
o Conduct competitive analysis to identify market positioning opportunities.
o Provide regular sales forecasts and market intelligence to senior leadership.
o Monitor customer feedback and industry trends to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum 10 years in sales, business development, or related roles, preferably within the pre-engineered steel building industry.
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
· Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, growing market share, and leading sales teams.
· Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the pre-engineered steel building market, including key players, products, and industry dynamics.
· Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities.
· Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market data, preparing sales forecasts, and identifying growth opportunities.
