Job Title: Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis, with an assignment lasting at least 90 days and potentially up to six months. Position Summary:
As a Staff Accountant at The company, you’ll be responsible for performing bank reconciliations, month-end closings, journal entries, daily bank deposits, and assisting with Accounts Payable, Payroll, and various financial analyses. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting external reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and code payables and receivables for the General Ledger through journal entries
- Process and log Capitation receipts from HMO companies for monthly entries
- Conduct cash receipts analysis and reconcile American Healthcare reports with weekly bank downloads
- Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
- Assist in preparing external financial reports, such as UDS and Medicaid Wrap reports
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial report
- Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports for Allcare
- Support the mission and goals of The company
- Adhere to The company's safety policies
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or a related field
- Familiarity with general ledger, accounts payable systems, and computer-based accounting tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with cost accounting and statistical analysis
- Supervisory or team lead experience is a plus
