Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Bradenton, FL

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (90 days to 6 months)

Salary: $70,000 annually

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis, with an assignment lasting at least 90 days and potentially up to six months. Position Summary:

As a Staff Accountant at The company, you’ll be responsible for performing bank reconciliations, month-end closings, journal entries, daily bank deposits, and assisting with Accounts Payable, Payroll, and various financial analyses. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and code payables and receivables for the General Ledger through journal entries
• Process and log Capitation receipts from HMO companies for monthly entries
• Conduct cash receipts analysis and reconcile American Healthcare reports with weekly bank downloads
• Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
• Assist in preparing external financial reports, such as UDS and Medicaid Wrap reports
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial report
• Generate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports for Allcare
• Support the mission and goals of The company
• Adhere to The company's safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or a related field
• Familiarity with general ledger, accounts payable systems, and computer-based accounting tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with cost accounting and statistical analysis
• Supervisory or team lead experience is a plus
