Environmental Specialist – Storage Tank Compliance
Location : Sarasota, FL
Pay Rate : $23.56 / hour
Job Type : Full-Time, Temporary (6-month assignment : February, 2025 – August, 2025)
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Specialist to support its Fuel Tank Compliance Program . This role involves field investigations, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The position offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments to safeguard environmental health and public safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct field inspections to document site conditions and identify potential violations.
- Perform data entry and manage compliance information in local and state database systems.
- Prepare investigative reports and advise supervisors on non-compliance issues.
- Provide compliance assistance and re-inspection for facilities.
- Collaborate with departments like Risk Management, Public Utilities, and Public Works.
- Manage data for the State of Florida Emergency Response Commission Tier II Reporting System.
