Seasonal Lifeguard I with WSI

A Lifeguard with Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in and around swimming areas. This role includes maintaining constant surveillance of swimmers, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies. Additionally, the lifeguard will conduct swimming lessons, teaching water safety and swimming skills to individuals of various ages and abilities. The position requires proficiency in rescue techniques, first aid, CPR, and effective communication skills to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Lifeguards must also perform routine inspections of the facility and equipment, maintain cleanliness, and document incidents as necessary.The job typically involves working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate swim classes and recreational activities. Lifeguards are expected to stay current with their certifications through regular training sessions.
