Job Description
- The Ada County Highway District is seeking a qualified General Equipment Operator to join our team on the Broom Crew.
Salary and Benefits
$22.80 - $26.30 per hour, with an excellent benefit package including medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, 401K match and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate a street sweeper and 10-wheel dump truck under general supervision of the Broom Crew Chief.
- Respond to winter weather conditions and other emergencies, which may require working outside of normal hours.
Qualifications
- A current Idaho Class 'A' CDL license, or the ability to obtain one by the start of employment.
- Experience operating a 10-wheel dump truck or similar vehicle, with preference given to those with experience operating a sweeper.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
