Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician
Ada County Highway District is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance division. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment, including dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, loaders, air compressors, jackhammers, and winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing roads.
- Repair and replace asphalt on roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance tasks.
- Respond to winter weather conditions and other emergencies, requiring flexible work hours.
Qualifications:
- A valid Idaho Class A CDL license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
- Experience driving/operating dump trucks and loaders is preferred.
- Knowledge of asphalt placement and compaction, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance techniques is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
