Shuttle Driver (Part-Time)

Position Summary:
The Hotel Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for employees between the designated parking lot and the hotel. As an integral part of the hotel team, the driver ensures a positive experience for employees, who are regarded as internal guests, by delivering exceptional service and adhering to all safety protocols.

Transportation Services:

• Drive employees between the designated parking lot and the hotel on a timely and consistent schedule.
• Assist employees with boarding and disembarking the shuttle, including handling luggage or work-related items if necessary

Guest Service Excellence:

• Treat employees as internal guests by providing a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Create a positive and pleasant experience by engaging in polite and respectful communication during the ride.
• Address questions, concerns, or requests from employees and escalate them to the appropriate department if needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Operate the shuttle in accordance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and hotel policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in excellent operating condition, and report any issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow all safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of passengers and others on the road.

Operational Efficiency:

• Maintain a consistent schedule to ensure employees are transported in a timely manner to and from the parking lot and hotel.
• Communicate any delays or issues promptly to supervisors or management.
• Keep the shuttle clean and organized.

Teamwork and Communication:

• Collaborate with hotel management and team members to address employee transportation needs or schedule adjustments.
• Stay informed of hotel operations and events that may impact shuttle schedules or employee transport needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a driving or transportation role preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Capability to assist with lifting or carrying items up to 50 lbs as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

• Solo driver
