Policy Advisor (Energy) - Washington, DC

Hybrid

Salary - 150k to 200k (some flexibility based on experience), bonus


Our client, a prestigious Am 100 law firm, is offering an exceptional opportunity for an Energy

Policy Advisor to join their Lobbying & Public Policy practice. The ideal candidate will have over

five years of experience in energy policy and legislation. Prior experience on Capitol Hill,

particularly within congressional committees related to energy policy, is highly desirable.

Experience within an executive branch agency relevant to energy policy can also be considered

instead of Capitol Hill experience.


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding

advanced degrees (JD or Master's). The successful candidate will possess excellent academic

credentials and demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills. The candidate

needs to embody the core values of the firm: future-focused, diversity-minded, dedicated to

excellence, service-oriented, and collaborative.


Our Lobbying & Public Policy practice is a leading entity that operates within a full-service law

firm, combining top-tier lobbying with comprehensive legal services. Our bipartisan team

advocates for clients at the federal level across legislative, policy, and regulatory matters,

specializing in areas such as national security, defense policy, and supply chain domestication.

Leveraging extensive experience from the private sector, military, and both legislative and

executive branches of government, our team expertly briefs department officials and

congressional leaders on how client solutions align with national security goals. We are adept at

navigating the defense budgeting, appropriations, and authorization processes, and we provide

robust support in managing national security regulatory frameworks and securing necessary

business authorizations globally.
