ADAC’s paid summer internship program takes place each year in May and runs through August. For 13 weeks, you will apply the concepts you have learned in the classroom to actual business situations and scenarios. Take advantage of your summer break to build your resume, learn and grow in a real-world environment.
The program features collaboration among your fellow interns and ADAC professionals. In addition to team-based community outreach and philanthropic initiatives, the internship program concludes with a final joint capstone project and presentation. The project requires you to apply your research, problem solving and innovation skills to understand and identify a solution to a specific and relevant company business opportunity or challenge.
To complete the capstone, your program cohort will formally present your recommendations to ADAC’s executive team.
Position summary:
Work with buyers to support day to day activities. Collect internal and external data to assist in the quoting process. Look for new suppliers and market test current business to insure that our supply base is in line.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supports the new business quoting process.
- Attends engineering meetings and take notes to forward to buyers.
- Support market testing current business.
- Promotes continuous improvement in the product development process to increase efficiency.
- Help with PowerPoints and data gathering.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Completes general administrative tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- College Student with studies focused on supply chain, purchasing or business.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to discuss, problem solve, and promote innovative ideas.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must demonstrate effective communication and time management skills when interfacing with various functional groups.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
