NUTRITION & EDUCATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Supervisor for its Lawrence County WIC office in New Castle, PA.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WIC NUTRITION & EDUCATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
The WIC Nutrition &Education Program Supervisor is located within Adagio Health's Nutrition and Education Programs (NEP) department. Supervisors within the department enjoy a balance between providing programming in the field and leading a team of talented public health and nutrition professionals. Adagio Health's NEP Department supports key programs that provide nutrition education and physical activity promotion to school age kids in PreK through high school, adults, and seniors to make the healthy choice, the easy choice as well as health education programming to youth in community, residential and school-based settings.
As an NEP Supervisor, you will lead and manage a team of educators within your office to provide exceptional programming to participants, maintain a programming schedule of your own, and foster a positive office culture. Supervisors have a strong support system in the Coordinators, Operations Managers, Directors, and Vice President of the Department.
To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in nutrition, public health, or related field, strong interpersonal and coaching skills, demonstrated effective leadership skills, and experience providing nutrition and / or health education programming to multiple age groups in a variety of settings.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NUTRITION AND EDUCATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, public health, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
- Demonstrated experience with effectively leading teams
- 3-5 years nutrition or health education programming experience with various age groups in multiple settings.
- Experience in children's nutrition education in a school setting and in public health are desirable.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
