We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer/Sales Manager who will be based at our Long Island showroom. This role combines design expertise with sales and business development, offering a competitive base salary plus a 3% commission on all sales and benchmark bonuses.
Job Description
- Convert walk-in clients into small to large-scale interior design projects through personalized design consultations in the showroom and at clients' homes.
- Utilize exceptional sales skills to close sales and drive revenue, earning commissions on both retail and trade sales.
- Oversee daily operations of the Long Island showroom, maintaining its aesthetics, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate pricing.
- Coordinate with vendors, manage orders and deliveries, process trade sales, and provide exceptional service to trade clients.
- Actively seek new clients and build a book of business in the Long Island and NYC areas by hosting in-showroom events and workshops.
- Execute marketing initiatives with allocated resources to drive traffic to the showroom.
- Manage social media and advertising platforms for the showroom and brand.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of interior design experience, preferably with luxury residential projects.
- Degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Proven sales and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Strong understanding of luxury design trends and products.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus.
