Position Summary:
The Purchasing Support Specialist will coordinate with Purchasing to match receiving paperwork with Purchase Orders. Additionally, they will schedule deliveries and receive items into the company ERP system.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for active ingredients, finished goods, and intercompany purchase orders placements.
- Review receiving document/confirmation log from the company ERP to ensure invoices correspond within purchase order terms of the agreement.
- Updates PO database with details on all inbound deliveries for planning and production teams and follows up with all suppliers on deliveries as needed.
- Supports Purchasing Manager on PO placement, pricing/volume discrepancies with suppliers.
- Supports Logistics manager reviewing third-party logistics invoices, freight claims processing and as a backup as needed.
- Confirm inventory management through correct receipt of items purchased and varying physical inventory amounts balance accordingly with the ERP system.
- Retrieve packing list from Warehouse Supervisor and match to PO, verifying all data is correct enter receipt into the ERP system
- Report any receiving issues, incorrect paperwork (packing list), shipping damage, etc. to Purchasing Manager immediately.
- Work with Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate deliveries to our site.
- Occasionally assist Warehouse Supervisor in the plant.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory management.
- Support in processing logistics paperwork (invoices, bill of ladings, etc.)
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in related field required.
- At least three years of experience in related field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally work in the warehouse where temperature extremes from 35°F to 90°F
- Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
- Forklift operations experience a plus.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
