The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Welding, Carpentry, Automotive Technician, Computer Science, and AWS services.
We are looking for a detail oriented Bookkeeper with high levels of integrity to join our organization. Shriver Job Corps Center provides education and trade training under the Department of Labor. We provide training for boarding and non-boarding students with rolling admissions, servicing between 200-300 students at any given moment! In this position you will work closely with the Senior Accountant in performing bookkeeping functions including:
- Process accounts payable vendor payments
- Coordinates and oversees student pay and allotments, disburse checks and cash to staff and students
- Processes and reconciles Job Corps Student Pay.
- Maintains related documents in efficient and organized files.
- Verifies completeness of invoice packages.
- Maintains the Center petty cash and meal ticket funds
- Other related accounting tasks

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or two years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred. Proficient computer skills and Microsoft suite of applications required. Must pass company finance test.
